We have partnered with Absa Bank Kenya and Shekel Mobility to make importing vehicles from Japan more accessible and coordinated for qualifying customers.

Through this partnership, we bring together Cars Kenya’s vehicle sourcing and import coordination, Shekel Mobility’s technology, and Absa Bank Kenya’s asset financing capabilities.

Our goal is to connect vehicle sourcing, shipping, clearance, registration and financing through a structured process.

How Our Vehicle Import Financing Partnership Works

At Cars Kenya, we help customers source vehicles from Japan and coordinate the importation process.

Through our partnership with Absa Bank Kenya and Shekel Mobility, we are working to connect these services with financing for eligible customers.

Our role is to help you identify a suitable vehicle and coordinate its importation, including shipping and the relevant clearance and registration processes.

Shekel Mobility provides the technology supporting qualifying transactions, while Absa Bank Kenya handles credit assessments and asset financing.

Financing approval must be obtained before we begin the import process. Absa will assess your application against its credit requirements and the applicable product conditions.

Once the vehicle is registered and all disbursement conditions have been met, Absa will complete the asset financing process.

Financing of Up to 100% for Eligible Absa Premium Clients

Eligible Absa premium clients may qualify for vehicle financing of up to 100%, subject to the bank’s credit assessment, the value of the qualifying vehicle and applicable product conditions.

This provides qualifying customers with an opportunity to explore vehicle ownership through a structured financing arrangement rather than relying entirely on upfront personal funds.

However, financing is not guaranteed, and the amount approved will depend on the bank’s assessment.

Before proceeding, we encourage customers to confirm their eligibility, the costs covered by the facility, the repayment terms and any applicable charges.
